Against All Odds is a story that will address the concept that the bond of love shared by John and Marlena cannot be truly severed, no matter how bleak the prospects for their relationship might appear. It explores the idea that love can be so deeply rooted, so thoroughly ingrained inside us that not even the appearance of losing ones' memories of it....can truly destroy it. The essence of love is there....always, dwelling deep within our hearts and souls. This story begins shortly after the birth of John, Jr. and during Marlena's imprisonment by Kristen in the secret room in the basement of the Dimera Mansion. (Susan's role is very minimal because...to quote Drake Hogestyn, I believe it was.. *I choose to believe* that John would not be twice fooled. In fact, the John I love wouldn't have been fooled in the first place, but we don't have time to go there.)
